I just realized it has been 20 days since I updated this thing! That is far too long, my friends.

I swear, I am obsessed with ATCs. Below are some new ones, including a couple that feature photos from my I-Zone. I have sent SO MANY cards off in trades, and it just occurred to me that I should be scanning all of them, or at least making color copies of them. It would be nice to have some documentation of the madness.

I've started my x-mas knitting/crocheting stuff. First order of business is a stripey scarf for my color blind friend, Chris.

Other stuff I'm busy with includes reading 3 books and listening to 1 audio book...that has been slow going. It is hard for me to sit down and read these days.

My friend Marie turned me on to another list making site...www.backpackit.com
It is more practical and organized for actual to-do list stuff than www.43things.com, but of course 43 Things is nice due to the community element. The thing I like about backpackit is that you can get text message reminders (or e-mail, if you prefer) of stuff, you just set the date and time of day you want the reminder. I have my first reminder set for tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.

I'm really sleepy, but I swear, I am going to start posting here more often. I have some pictures of play-dough things my son made that I promised him I would post on the internet.

I finished my Amy Sedaris stencil today! The design, anyway. I have yet to cut it up and decorate anything with it. You can see the original photo below. I'm bummed that I had to lose the spiderweb tattoo, but there wasn't much I could do about that. For making stencils from photos, I make a high contrast version on the computer, print it out, and then sit down with a Sharpie marker and a bottle of white out and work it out that way. I'll be putting a full size version of the stencil on my website when I get around to updating.  Posted by Hello

The sick has been creeping back up on me, making it hard to get things done. Yesterday I went to the garden center and shopped for plants based on smell. I came home with a Hibiscus tree, a Honeysuckle vine, and a pot of Star Jasmine, which is the heavenliest of them all. I have so many abandoned projects right now that I don't know where to start...so I have just been making up new stuff to do. Like that is going to help! Anyway...today was a good mail day. My favorite piece of mail contained these three cards by Texas artist Stacey Weaver:  Posted by Hello

I haven't posted in this blog in so darn long! This is supposed to be the place I track my crafty endeavors, mostly, and there has been nearly none of that. You would think being sick in bed would lend itself to some crocheting or something, but that has just not been the case since just staying awake with my head held upright has taken considerable effort. I'm pretty bummed about my lack of output, but I have a hot date with my sewing machine tomorrow morning. We're gonna make some summer skirts.

The only thing I have felt like doing is making ATCs. I'm kinda addicted to these mini collage things. I've been making themed sets for swaps, but here and there I've done some random ones, as seen in the picture.

I've made a couple of minor updates to my site, as well, and I'm stoked that my Hookers Have More Fun stencil and Cult of Knit rant appears in the summer issue of CrochetMe in the "Reviews and Other Remarkable Stuff" section.
